i'm obsessing. over this record.
all day i've been listening to josh garrels's new album, home, and i'm getting a little starry-eyed over it. he's got a falsetto that doesn't quit and it's musically diverse so you don't feel like you're listening to the same song over and over again. we all know those records, you're like "how long is this track?! oh, the whole album just sounds the same, got it." the worst.
but this is not that at all. at all.
if i owned a coffee shop i would have home hour once a day and make everyone in my shop listen to this album. 1) because it's the perfect underground record for hipsters who like their coffee brewed single-serve and always want to be the one who've discovered something first so they can be over it when it gets mainstream. and 2) it's just legitimately good enough to listen to at least once a day.
so now that i've waxed eloquent (or maybe not so eloquent) about mr. garrels's latest release i'm sure you're just dying to hear it. am i right?
here's the good news: you can get the whole album for...wait for it...FREE. yes, you can download the whole album for free (or if you want you can leave a "tip" which i'm sure would be appreciated). so go do it now, it will be the best thing you've done with your tuesday.
xo
