frontman friday: caleb chapman

there's nothing like the promise of the weekend to make a day exciting. i don't even have anything thrilling planned (an oil change is about all i've got on the docket. party.animal.) i just like a change in routine. life too easily becomes monotonous when you're a "grown-up" and sometimes even the little things like being able to wear whatever i want and not have to adhere to a dress code makes me happy.

know what else makes me happy? frontmen.

they make me very happy.

who needs xanax when you've got: caleb chapman
looks like this song is making his heart a little sad

caleb sings lead in a trio of a band called colony house
of course the drummer is the crazy one. he's also caleb's brother will.

if caleb looks a little familiar to you it's probably because you grew up listening to contemporary Christian music (like i did, holla at ya girl you CCM lovers). caleb is the son of steven curtis chapman. or SC-squared as i affectionately called him.
twinsies!

colony house just put out an album, when i was younger, and they are headed out on tour this fall. BUT before getting into full tour swing they are making a stop at late night
how cool is that?!
i most assuredly will fall asleep but i will try to stay up and watch.

their tour is coming to the turf club in st. paul on oct. 5th. i'm excited to catch these guys early...while they're still playing small clubs instead of bigger venues where it feels more impersonal. i can't imagine they'll suck since they've grown up around live concerts but i guess i'll reserve my judgment until the 5th!
